Passionate About Creativity

Mya Long is a multi-talented and experienced filmmaker, currently serving as the director, videographer, and editor at Idaho Public Television. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in directing, videography, and video editing to her role, allowing her to create visually stunning and impactful documentaries. Mya has a passion for storytelling and an eye for capturing the essence of her subjects, making her an asset to any project she works on.

 

In addition to her technical skills, Mya also has exceptional communication skills, which allow her to work effectively with a variety of teams and individuals. This, combined with her deep understanding of the film and television industry, makes her a valuable leader within the industry.

 

Mya is also an avid outdoor adventurer, bringing her love of the great outdoors into her work. Her passion for adventure and exploration is evident in her films, capturing the essence of the world and the people that inhabit it.

 

Mya received her degree in Film and Television from the University of Arizona, where she also minored in Journalism. This education, combined with her hands-on experience in the industry, has allowed her to develop a unique perspective and style that sets her apart from her peers.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional Adobe Premiere Pro experience

  • Detailed sound mixer

  • Well organized

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience in color grading

  • Passion for learning

  • Also proficient in: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Farmerswife, Social media engagement and marketing,  and Microsoft Office Suite.
